Act III homework (continued) leaveoff

After Nora left Torvald, he was left to fend for himself. He lived out the rest of his days a very sorrowful life, filled with regrets for how he treated Nora. He did believe that it was for the better because he realized that things probably would have gotten worse if he didn't find out about the letter. He felt that by knowing, it would have taken a lot of stress off of Nora. So that gave him a little sense of comfort. He wasn't totally upset about what had happened.

As for Nora, she became very successful in the work force, she was able to live a more comfortable life and without secrets. She thought about Torvald alot, but she knew that the events that happened could not be undone. She felt sorry for Torvald, but she too knew that the events could not be undone. Things finally seemed at peace for both Torvald and Nora at last.

Act III Homework, Tuesday, May 31st post

The end of the play really sums up most of the story. I really didn't know how Torvald was going to react to Krogstads letter. I didn't think that Nora would have gotten so serious about the letter. When I read the end of the play when Nora left Torvald, I was ready to cry. It was such a sad ending. But it told the story of how Nora felt like she was being viewed.

I thought that the story really was good. It gave a view of how women were viewed in that day and age. It reminded me a lot of A Raisin in the Sun. It reminded me of how Beneatha felt when Walter said that she should only look forward to being a housewife. Like she shouldn't have any dreams. I thought the story had a lot of meaning to it.

Assignment II Homework

A Dolls House has gotten very interesting. Torvald hasn't had much of a role. Nora seems a lot more paranoid about Torvald finding out about Krogstad's letter. I think that Nora has a very strong personality and will. She continually refuses to give in to Krogstad's threats. She is not as childish as I thought her character was.

I now see that Krogstad has a heart after all. His previous relationship with Kristina Linde seemed to be very close. I guess even the coldest person can have feelings. It made me really wonder if Krogstad really was a bad person. I think he just didn't want to lose something that meant so much to him. I really don't think Krogstad is really all that bad.

Homework Act 1

I messed up a little on my last blog. O.K., here it goes. The characters in the play are all very unique and have their own personalities. I believe that Norah's character is pretty funny in a lot of ways. Torvald seems very cheap with lending out money. I see Krogstad as a very wicked man who only cares about getting what he wants. It's kind of funny, but Norah reminds me a lot of myself. Always happy and in a good mood. That is usually how I feel 24/7! I would like to ask my peers one question. Which character, or character reminds the of their own personality? How do you feel about Krogstad? I think he is a really evil character.

Dolls House homework

The story "A Dolls House" is about a woman named Nora who acts childish to ge things from her husband. However, she does this so she can pay off a big debt to a man named Krogstad, who gave her money so that she could help her husband when he was sick. Now if she does not pay up within a certain amount of time, Krogstad threatens to tell her husband, Torvald what she has done. The story  was made in the mid 1870's by a Norwegian writer named Henrik Ibsen. Henrik wrote several great works, including We Dead Awake. There! I hope this covers what I was missing!
